Midday, 16/1/08 - Gatwick Airport
Sitting in an expensive aiport bar, watching the planes come in and land and a gorgeous cloud bank in the distance through the only window in the terminal (surprise, the only way to look out on the runway is through a cafe, even the view costs these days) I've a knot in my stomach and I'm sweating like hell. I'm relieved I'm in the corner of this place, dont want to make a waiter slip
No getting around it, I'm nervous. I havent flown
What are you saving up for?

I'm about halfway to saving up £10'000 after which I'm going to have a good think about what to do with it. I've a few options I'm thinking about...
I've always wanted to go to university or do more studying, I feel that I missed out due to a rather nasty illness effectively knocking me out halfway through college (high school to americans I think) and not getting many A levels or being in any condition to move on to university.
At the same time, with that much money it means I effectively dont have to work for a year and I can use it just to go around the world, which would be an amazing experience, I'd love to see the Aurora Borealis and drive through a desert, nothing but me and the sky in sight. I could put the world behind me and forget all the stress I associate with people and life.
The trouble with that is I'd have to come back...
My last option is to just use it to save even more, put it in some high interest account and just keep adding to it, that way maybe I can retire early? Maybe I can invest it?
Its hard to choose sometimes between the sensible option and your dreams
Hello, I suppose this is where I write ab out myself and my life.
I'm currently living with my gorgeous best friend Rhian.
